Ex-CDS Musa Rumoured to Emerge as Defence Minister

Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, was in meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja hours before the resignation of Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru.

Badaru’s resignation was announced by Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who said the President had accepted the decision which was based on ill-health.

Sources in the Villa told Politics Digest on the condition of anonymity that the President could replace Badaru with Musa based on the latter’s experience and extensive knowledge of the country’s security challenges.
