I’m not a virgin, have three children — Wife of pastor’s adopted son
The woman who recently married Aboy Chibuzor, a non-verbal autistic man adopted by Chibuzor Chinyere, has revealed that she is a widow and mother of three.
Speaking in a video interview shared on Monday by the cleric, the bride addressed public speculation surrounding her past, clarifying her marital and sexual history shortly after their wedding on Sunday.
Her statement followed widespread reactions online, where some questioned her intentions and suggested the union may have been financially motivated. Others also speculated about her being a virgin due to her appearance.
Responding to these claims, she said, “I am not a virgin. I am a mother of three, and the father of my children is late.”
She added that she hails from Edo State but was raised in Rivers State, her mother’s place of origin.
The marriage comes after Chinyere publicly sought a wife for Aboy, who requires daily assistance with activities such as feeding and bathing. The cleric had promised financial support for the couple, including ₦10 million, a house, and an overseas trip.
The initial announcement drew criticism from many who described the arrangement as inappropriate and degrading to women. Chinyere later apologised, stating he had no intention of disrespecting any woman.
Sharing updates after the ceremony, he expressed optimism about the marriage, noting improvements in Aboy’s condition, including his ability to feed himself. He also voiced hope for further progress in the coming months.
