Veteran Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress Onyeka Onwenu has passed away. She reportedly died Tuesday evening at Reddington Hospital in Lagos after collapsing at the birthday party of Mrs. Stella Okoli.

An eyewitness at the party confirmed the news to TheNiche, stating that Onwenu had just performed at the event on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, before collapsing. She was taken to Reddington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
