Ondo 2024: PRP Inaugurates 21-man Campaign Committee

As the November 16, 2024 Governorship election in Ondo State approaches, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has taken a significant step by inaugurating its 21-man campaign committee on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of an intense campaign effort aimed at securing victory for the PRP in the upcoming election.
During the ceremony, Comrade Babatunde Francis Alli, the PRP Governorship Candidate, urged the committee members to be part of history by working diligently to rescue Ondo State from the current challenges it faces under the maladministration of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Alli emphasized that the state is in dire need of true change, citing the decline in the state’s standing, particularly highlighting the underdevelopment and marginalization of certain areas.
“Our state cannot be reckoned with in the committee of states any more. Akure, the state capital, is now a glorified rural town, and some sections of the state are even being marginalized. Underdevelopment is at its peak in our state. So this is a mission we are all embarking on, to vote out the APC and win the election,” Alli stated passionately.
The 21-man Campaign Committee is composed of diverse group of individuals, including party members, leaders from various socio-political groups across the 18 local government areas of the state, security experts, captains of industry, and professionals from different fields. This strategic composition is expected to strengthen the PRP’s campaign efforts and enhance its chances of success in the upcoming election.
Also present at the occasion were the deputy Governorship Candidate, Mr. Olanrewaju Olaide Adewole, an Akure born businessman and Pastor Oladele Oluwasesan the State Party Chairman from Akoko North West LGA. It cannot be overlooked that the PRP is set to give Ondo State an inclusive governance with its consciousness of balance political arrangements, its governorship candidate being from Okitipupa Local Government Area of the Southern Senatorial District.
