Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo Suspends Attorney General, LG Commission Chairman
Edo state governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the suspension of the attorney general of the state and commissioner for justice Hon Samson Osagie and the chairman Edo state local government commission Hon Damian Lawani.
The approval by the governor is sequel to a letter issued by the secretary to the state government Barrister Musa Ikhilor issued on Wednesday 5th 2025.
The governor said his approval of the suspension is to allow an investigative panel to investigate the allegation of financial infraction against the attorney general and the local government commission chairman.
Meanwhile, the embattled attorney general has refuted the allegations against his Person.
In a statement he personally signed, he said he is ready to defend himself and clear his name as he did not partake in any illegal dealing with anyone.
