Governor Okpebholo recalls suspended attorney general

Edo state governor Monday Okpebholo has recalled the suspended state attorney general and commissioner for justice Hon. Samson Osagie.

This is coming after the investigative panel report inaugurated to investigate him exonerated him of financial infractions.

Secretary to the Edo state government Musa Ikhilor in a statement made available to newsmen, said the governor took the decision having considered the investigative panel report set up by the government after he was allegedly fingered in corruption related cases .

According to the SSG, governor Okpebholo has ordered his immediate resumption of duties as the attorney general and commissioner for justice in line with the transparency initiative of the state governor.

The Edo attorney general alongside the chairman of the state civil service commission were suspended by the state government for allegedly conniving in an improper manner related to corruption before the clearance by the governor.
