Akure South LG Secretary Visits O’datiwa Women Skill Acquisition Center, Lauds Initiative
The Secretary of Akure South Local Government, Mrs. Adeola Fynch, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, visited the O’datiwa Women Initiative Skill Acquisition Center at the Ministry of Women Affairs, Akure. The visit, a courtesy call to the Special Adviser.
She was warmly received by Hon. Seun Osamaye, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, who highlighted the administration’s dedication to women’s economic growth and self-sufficiency.
During the visit, Mrs. Adeola toured various training sections, including Tailoring, Tie and Dye (Adire), Information Technology, and Culinary Training. She commended the trainees for their dedication and encouraged them to maximize the opportunity provided by the government to build sustainable livelihoods. She emphasized that the O’datiwa Women Initiative reflects Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to inclusive governance, ensuring that no woman is left behind in the state’s development agenda.
Mrs. Adeola also praised the efforts of Hon. Osamaye, describing her as a tireless advocate for women’s empowerment. She noted that initiatives like this would not only boost the economic independence of women but also contribute to poverty reduction and community development in Ondo State.
