AC Milan Call Off Boniface Transfer After Failed Medical
AC Milan has cancelled Victor Boniface’s proposed move after the Nigerian striker failed his medicals.
The deal, which included a €5 million loan with a mandatory €24 million buy option, had reached an advanced stage, with Boniface already in Milan to finalize terms.
However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Milan’s medical staff detected an issue with Boniface’s right knee, leading to the collapse of the transfer. The striker is now set to return to Bayer Leverkusen.
The failed move is a blow to Milan’s transfer plans, forcing the Serie A club to explore other attacking options.
Despite the setback at club level, Boniface remains in Nigeria’s 31-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
