Super Eagles land in Bloemfontein to warm reception

The Super Eagles arrived in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on Sunday evening to a rousing welcome ahead of their crucial clash at the Toyota Stadium.

Nigeria’s delegation, led by NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, included top football officials, lawmakers, former captains Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Ikpeba, as well as 22 players and technical staff. Forward Victor Osimhen, sidelined by injury from the win over Rwanda, was the only absentee.

At Bloemfontein Airport, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Tope Ajayi, and other officials received the team alongside members of the Nigerian community, who turned out in traditional attire with drumming and dancing.

The Eagles will hold their official training session today at 6pm local time (5pm Nigeria time) at the Toyota Stadium.
