Akinribido Thanks Aiyedatiwa Over Appointment as Executive Chairman of SITA

Hon. Tomide Akinribido has expressed deep gratitude to Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, following his appointment as the Executive Chairman of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA).

In a statement on Tuesday, Akinribido described the announcement as one that filled him with “gratitude and joy,” noting that it was a privilege to be entrusted with such responsibility by the governor.

“This morning, I received with gratitude and joy, the announcement that my beloved principal, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved my appointment and elevation as the Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Information Technology Agency,” he said.

The former Senior Special Assistant on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), who had served in that capacity for 14 months, acknowledged the governor’s unwavering support in driving Ondo State’s tech initiatives.

“With the renewed confidence and trust reposed in me by Mr. Governor as Executive Chairman of SITA, I will work hard to reposition the agency for optimal performance and achieve its core mandate as the frontline government organization to drive technological advancement,” Akinribido pledged.

He added that his focus will include fostering innovation through public-private partnerships, enhancing digital literacy, expanding telecommunications infrastructure to rural areas, and implementing e-governance across public service systems.

Concluding, Akinribido reiterated his appreciation: “Once again, thank you, Mr. Governor.”
