Hon. Wellington Adebawo Takes Traffic Safety Campaign to Akure Roads
Earlier this week, the Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo, led his team on a strategic monitoring exercise across major traffic points in Akure. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to ensure safety, orderliness, and strict compliance with traffic regulations within the state capital.
During the exercise, Hon. Adebawo engaged directly with motorists, commercial motorcyclists (okada riders), and truck drivers, emphasizing the importance of discipline on the road. He also addressed common violations observed at busy junctions, offering clear guidance on safer driving practices and the need for collective responsibility in reducing accidents.
He further used the outreach to enlighten road users on the dangers of reckless driving, the importance of adhering to traffic signs, and the state government’s renewed commitment to promoting a safer transport environment.
