Olawoye Assesses Ongoing Road Projects in Akure, Assures Timely Delivery
The Ondo State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE, FNIHTE, has expressed satisfaction with the level of progress recorded on major road projects currently underway across Akure metropolis. The projects include the Irese–Onyarubulem Flyover, Igoba Road, Alagbaka Extension, and Ijoka Road, all of which are being executed simultaneously to ease traffic flow and improve urban mobility.
Speaking during an inspection tour, the Commissioner disclosed that he led a team of directors from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to assess ongoing construction works and ensure strict compliance with approved designs and professional standards. He noted that the pace of work and the level of professionalism displayed by contractors on site were commendable, reinforcing confidence in the timely and successful completion of the projects.
Engr. Olawoye assured the people of Ondo State that the ongoing road projects are in line with the OUR EASE agenda of the Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, aimed at reducing infrastructural deficits and delivering durable, people-oriented infrastructure.
He also appreciated residents in the affected areas for their patience and continued support, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure across the state.
