JUST IN: Five security operatives arrested over alleged bribery in el-Rufai airport incident

Five security operatives have been taken into custody over allegations of bribery linked to the incident involving Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Sources indicate that the arrests followed a joint investigation by the Department of State Services, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, and the federal ministry of aviation.

The operatives are accused of receiving bribes in an attempt to obstruct an arrest connected to the airport episode involving the former governor.
