Adeleke: four years not enough for tinubu’s reforms to deliver results

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has said President Bola Tinubu needs more than four years to deliver the desired results of his reforms, urging Nigerians to support his re-election bid in 2027.

Adeleke made the call on Wednesday during the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he declared support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

The governor expressed confidence that Tinubu would be re-elected in 2027, saying another four-year term would enable the president to consolidate his reform agenda.

“We must give our father, the president of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” Adeleke said.

“That is why I’m here to throw my weight.”

He expressed optimism about Tinubu’s electoral prospects and urged supporters to mobilise for his re-election.

Adeleke added that the success of Tinubu’s administration would benefit the country, insisting that the president would return to the Presidential Villa after the 2027 election.

“Nobody can stop this movement. We’re going to sing; we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock,” he said.

“We don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine. Let us rise and make sure our president comes back for the second time.

“Continue praying for Mr President. If he succeeds, we all succeed. And I know by the special grace of God, we shall get there.”

The revised APC presidential campaign council list released on Tuesday named Adeleke as Tinubu’s campaign coordinator in Osun State, despite his membership of the Accord Party.

The list also included Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, while the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, was named campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT.
