WAEC releases timetable for 2026 WASSCE

The West African Examinations Council has published the official timetable for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates.

According to the final international schedule shared on the council’s official X handle on Monday, the examination will begin on April 21, 2026, and end on June 19, 2026.

WAEC stated that the exams will kick off with practical planning sessions for Foods and Nutrition 3 and Home Management 3.

The timetable outlines the full schedule for the examination, which serves as a key requirement for secondary school students seeking admission into universities and other tertiary institutions.

WASSCE covers core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics, alongside a broad range of electives spanning sciences, arts, humanities, and technical or vocational fields.

The examination will be conducted across WAEC member countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
