Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Abandons Obi, Insists On Staying In ADC
The 2023 governorship candidate in Lagos State on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has abandoned the LP 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who defected to the National Democratic Congress, NDC, from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, after previously leaving the LP.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour noted that the coalition is being tested and the opposition are living through defining moment.
He declared that at this critical juncture, he and his team have decided to stay put in ADC. He noted that it is not because it is convenient, not because it is popular but because it is a platform they have built.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour mainlined that every political decision he has made is based on principle.
According him, it is platform they have built, the vehicle that they believe will take them to victory. he asserted that if want to win, you must build structure.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour asserted that good intention is not enough, popularity, energy not enough. But you must have the strength to protect peoples mandate – the votes from polling units to the collation Centre.
He insisted, inter alia, that he cannot abandon the structure they have built.
