Vote Decisively in Local Government Polls – Emmanuel Aje, OSMD Movement Founder Tells Ondo Residents
“The voice of the people is the voice of God.”
This popular proverb reminds us that our voices matter and that we must speak up to shape the future of our community. As we approach the forthcoming Local Government election on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, it is essential that we exercise our right to vote and make our voices heard.
As the founder of Ondo Si Ma Dara (OSMD) Movement, a non-profit organization focused on promoting good governance, youth empowerment, and civic participation in Ondo State, I am deeply committed to ensuring that our citizens are actively engaged in the democratic process.
Through OSMD, we have been working tirelessly to educate, mobilize, and empower our communities to demand better governance and participate in the decision-making process.

This election presents a unique opportunity for us to shape the future of our local communities and bring development closer to our doorstep.
Local governments play a vital role in delivering essential services such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
By participating in this election, we can ensure that our local leaders are accountable, transparent, and responsive to our needs.
Effective and good governance start at the grassroots level, and it’s our responsibility to preserve democracy and promote the well-being of our communities.
I urge all eligible voters in the 18 local government areas of Ondo State to come out and exercise their right to vote.
Let us make our voices heard and shape the future of our communities.
I also want to emphasize the importance of shunning vote buying and selling.
Let us not compromise our values and the future of our communities for temporary gains.
Our votes are our power, and we must use them wisely.
I appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts in ensuring local governments have autonomy, empowering our local leaders to take charge of their destinies and make decisions that benefit their communities.
As citizens, it is our collective responsibility to hold our leaders accountable and demand better governance.
By voting in this election, we can shape the future of our local communities, promote transparency and accountability, and preserve democracy.
Let’s make our voices heard and vote for leaders who will bring development, prosperity, and good governance to our local communities.
Together, we can build a brighter future for Ondo State. Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 18th, 2025, and get ready to exercise your right to vote!
