Engr. Olawoye Makes Case for Rural Communities, Pledges Government Commitment to Even Development
The Ondo State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye FNSE, FNICE, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to inclusive development across urban and rural communities.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Olojas of Ondo West Local Government to his office today, Engr. Olawoye urged local authorities to maximize the use of road maintenance equipment provided by the government to improve infrastructure in rural areas.
While addressing the traditional leaders, Olawoye emphasized that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration is determined to ensure that no part of the state is left behind in the ongoing infrastructural renewal.
“I can assure you that every infrastructure agenda of this administration will not just be for the cities alone, but for every community. The rural dwellers will feel a touch of the government,” he stated.
He further reassured that equitable development remains a priority under the current administration.
The Commissioner also explained that although some projects are temporarily on hold due to the rainy season, detailed technical planning and weather analysis are being undertaken to ensure prompt resumption as soon as conditions allow. He assured the community leaders that site work will recommence across affected locations once the weather becomes favorable for construction activities.
In their response, the Olojas, led by Oloja Salawu Adesida, the Oloja of Abusoro, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for appointing a thoroughbred professional like Engr. Olawoye into a key office. They praised the Commissioner’s accessibility and responsiveness and pledged their full support for the government’s development goals, expressing optimism about the transformation of their communities under the present leadership.
