Breaking: Kidnapped former Delta Commissioner feared Dead

Kidnapped former Delta Commissioner for technical education and house of representatives member, Joan Onyemaechi is believed to have been killed by her abductors.

Her corpse was said to have been dumped around the Onitsha end of the Niger Bridge on Thursday night with wounds all over her body and stripped naked.

However, neither the Police authorities nor the family gave confirmation or any inkling about her whereabouts as to whether the kidnappers have established contacts.

A security source in Anambra confirmed the recovery of the corpse believed to be that of the kidnapped former lawmaker even as the police is yet to issue a statement regarding her death.

The State Police Command’s commissioner CP Olufemi Abaniwonda when contacted by our correspondent, said he cannot confirm the news of the killing since no corpse has been recovered.

The former federal lawmaker representing Aniocha North was abducted on Tuesday evening at her church in Asaba which led to the killing of a policeman and her driver.
