Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has declared Monday, February 24, 2025, a public holiday in the state to enable residents to participate in the inauguration activities for his administration.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The governor’s swearing-in ceremony, alongside his deputy, Olayide Owolabi Adelami, will mark the official commencement of their tenure.

Meanwhile, in a separate directive, Governor Aiyedatiwa has ordered the cancellation of the usual restriction of movement during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Despite the lifting of movement restrictions, residents are still expected to clean their surroundings as part of the state’s commitment to environmental sanitation.
