Emily Memorial Foundation Empowers Over 300 Women with Cash Gifts, Food, and Scholarships
The Emily Memorial Foundation has empowered over 300 women with cash gifts, food items, and educational scholarships as part of its commitment to supporting vulnerable women in society. The outreach program, tagged “A Day of Nourishment, Wellness, and Empowerment,” was held in Akure, Ondo State, and witnessed the presence of different women groups across the state, dignitaries, and community leaders.
Speaking at the event, the founder of the foundation, Hon. Adeola Fynch, expressed her joy in being able to give back to the community in honor of her late mother, Mrs. Emily Bolarin Adebayo. She stated, “Today, we are gathered not just to give but to uplift, to support, and to remind one another that no one is alone in this journey of life.” She emphasized that the foundation was established to continue her mother’s legacy of generosity, hard work, and compassion by providing care, support, and opportunities for vulnerable women and children.

The outreach, which aimed to provide nourishment for the body, wellness for the mind, and empowerment for the future, featured health sessions, food distribution, and financial aid to help women. Hon. Adeola Fynch commended the support of partners, volunteers, and well-wishers who contributed to the success of the event, stating that their dedication was a testament to the power of community and shared responsibility.

The event was graced by prominent personalities, including the Executive Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Fasua, and his deputy; the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Seun Osamaye; the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Olawoye FNSE; as well as party leaders, special assistants, and other distinguished guests. The outreach program reinforced the foundation’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring that no woman or child is left behind.
