APC to inaugurate Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign council wednesday
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced plans to inaugurate President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign council on Wednesday, October 14, as preparations for the next presidential election gather momentum.
The party disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the inauguration will take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) will inaugurate the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja,” the statement read.
The party added that the list of members of the various directorates expected to participate in the inauguration would be released shortly.
The Presidential Campaign Council is expected to coordinate the APC’s activities ahead of the 2027 general election, including mobilising party members and supporters, promoting the party’s manifesto and the administration’s policies, engaging voters nationwide and organising campaign events.
The council is also expected to oversee campaign messaging, media engagement and collaboration among party leaders, elected officials and state campaign structures to strengthen support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Tinubu, who won the 2023 presidential election on the APC platform, is seeking a second term in office alongside Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential election for January 16, 2027.
