Adeola Fynch Leads Visit to Akure Monarch, Drum Support for Aiyedatiwa

Mrs. Adeola Rosemary Fynch, Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor, led a delegation of her support group and some prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains on a courtesy visit to the Lisa of Akure Kingdom, Senior High Chief Sunday Olubodun, on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The visit aimed to gather traditional and community support for the re-election bid of Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election.

During the visit, Mrs. Adeola Fynch expressed gratitude to the Lisa for his role in the development of the Akure community. She urged him to back Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy, stressing the governor’s key contributions to Akure, such as appointing Akure indigenes to significant positions, including Secretary to the State Government and a commissioner role. She also praised Aiyedatiwa’s efforts to improve infrastructure, notably the removal of barricades along Oba Adesida Road and the installation of street lights in Akure.

Mrs. Adeola described Aiyedatiwa as a strong supporter of Akure and called on the community to reciprocate by voting for him in large numbers during the election. She emphasized that doing so would secure further development for Akure and strengthen the community’s influence in state governance.

The Lisa of Akure, Senior High Chief Sunday Olubodun, lauded the delegation’s efforts and underscored the need for unity among Akure political leaders. He called on the community to leverage its significant voter base for the betterment of Akure and to work collectively to secure its political interests, stressing, “Akure must be united and fight for what belongs to them.”
