Ondo 2024: Igbo Women Drum Support for Aiyedatiwa as Adeola Fynch Leads Campaign Tour
In a show of solidarity, a section of Igbo women of Akure South gathered on Friday, October 11, 2024, to pledge their unwavering support for the candidacy of Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming November 16th gubernatorial election. The meeting, led by Mrs. Adeola Fynch, a Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in governance and the pivotal role of women in delivering electoral success.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Adeola reassured the women that Aiyedatiwa’s administration is committed to embracing every resident of the state, including the Igbo community. “Everybody that lives in Akure South is part of us, and Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa will continue to involve every resident in the affairs of the state, running an all-inclusive government,” she said. She further expressed confidence in the ability of the Igbo community to deliver a resounding victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure.
Mrs. Adeola also highlighted Aiyedatiwa’s track record of appointing Igbo indigenes and women into key positions within his administration as evidence of his inclusive leadership style. She assured the women that their voices would continue to be heard under Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and called on them to rally behind his candidacy, promising that Akure would deliver massive votes for the APC.
The enthusiastic Igbo women, in a united display of support, danced and sang praises in honor of Aiyedatiwa. They affirmed their commitment to ensuring a landslide victory for him, citing his love for the people and his progressive policies as reasons for their backing.
