Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a visit to Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo state, in Akure.

Obasanjo’s visit to Aiyedatiwa comes few days to the Ondo state governorship election slated for November 16.

Aiywdatiwa is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the election.

“Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday visited Ondo State Governor, HE Lucky Aiyedatiwa, at the Government House in Akure ahead of Saturday’s governorship election,” a post by the APC on Tuesday reads.

“Obasanjo wished the governor success in his bid for re-election.”

Aiyedatiwa became governor in 2023 following the passing of Rotimi Akeredolu after a prolonged illness.
