NAOSS Ibadan Poly Organizes Free Medical Outreach for Students and Community

In a bid to promote health and wellness, the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) Ibadan Polytechnic has announced a Free Medical Outreach scheduled to take place on February 20, 2025, at the Front Space, Assembly Hall, North Campus, starting at 10:00 AM. The initiative aims to provide essential healthcare services to students and members of the community at no cost.

The medical outreach will feature a range of health screenings and consultations, including blood pressure checks, sugar level tests, malaria tests, hepatitis B tests, HIV tests, and general medical consultations. In addition to these services, beneficiaries will also receive free medications to address common health concerns. The outreach is designed to create awareness about preventive healthcare and encourage early detection of medical conditions.

Speaking about the initiative, the leadership of NAOSS emphasized the importance of prioritizing health, particularly among students who often overlook routine checkups due to academic pressures. “Our goal is to ensure that students and the larger community have access to basic health screenings and medical advice without financial constraints,” said a representative of the association. “A healthy student population is essential for academic success and overall well-being.”

The event is open to all, and NAOSS is calling on students, staff, and members of the public to take advantage of the opportunity. The association also welcomes sponsorships and partnerships to further enhance the outreach program. For sponsorship or partnership inquiries, interested parties can contact the President (08075327651) or the Project Chairman (07089143062).

With hashtags such as #NAOSSFreeMedicalOutreach, #HealthAndWellness, and #CampusCare, the campaign is gaining traction on social media, with many applauding the student body for prioritizing health and wellness. As the date approaches, excitement continues to build, with expectations that the outreach will have a positive impact on the community’s overall health.
