OGUNWUMIJU MEETS PRINCIPALS, LAUNCHES “MÁ SORÍRE” INITIATIVE

The Parliamentary Secretary of the Ondo State House of Assembly and Member representing Ondo West Constituency 1, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju has earlier today unveiled the Má soríre Educational Initiative, a visionary program aimed at providing sustainable support for students in public secondary schools. This initiative is designed to help indigent students overcome financial barriers and achieve academic excellence.

Speaking during a meeting with the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Ondo West Chapter, held at Ondo Boys High School, Ogunwumiju emphasized that Masorire is not just a personal project but a long-term investment in the future of young students. He assured the gathering that the program will continue even beyond his tenure, ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial constraints.

A key component of the initiative is its sustainability. The program will create an avenue for donors and stakeholders to interact directly with beneficiaries, promoting transparency and long-term commitment. According to Otunba Ogunwumiju, Má soríre is structured to provide consistent support that will empower students to pursue their dreams without hindrance.

The Acting Chairperson of ANCOPSS, Ondo West Chapter, Chief Mrs. Akinseloyin Adeola, who is also the Principal of St. Monica’s Girls Grammar School, Ondo, commended Otunba Ogunwumiju for his longstanding contributions to education. She described Má soríre as a noble initiative and wished him success in his efforts.

The principals in attendance welcomed him and expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging its potential to transform the lives of students in the community. They lauded his commitment to education and his determination to make a lasting impact.

Otunba Ogunwumiju reaffirmed his dedication to empowering students, stating that Masorire is just the beginning of greater interventions aimed at ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to succeed.
