ONDO STATE GOVERNMENT TO REVITALIZE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AS GOV AIYEDATIWA’S AIDE, HON. WELLINGTON ADEBAWO VOWS TO LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED

The Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo, has reaffirmed his commitment to reviving the Ondo State Emergency Medical Services Agency (ODEMSA).

Hon. Adebawo who has been working tirelessly to ensure that ODEMSA lives up to its mandate of providing prompt and efficient emergency medical services to the people of Ondo State, made the statement on Wednesday February 19, 2025.

In recent times, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response has been visiting the substations of ODEMSA across the state, assessing their operations and identifying areas that require improvement. This move is aimed at revitalizing the agency and ensuring that it is prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations.

Hon. Adebawo said that ODEMSA was established to provide emergency medical services to the people of Ondo State, with the goal of reducing injuries and deaths on the state’s highways, and the agency has to achieve these goals.

He said that there is a decline in the agency’s services but with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s intervention, the agency is set to undergo a transformation that will enable it to provide better services to the people of Ondo State.

The Special Assistant added that the state government has continued to make efforts in order to enhance governance and service delivery to the people of the state, stressing that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has been working to improve the state’s emergency response systems, and the efforts of the office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, are a key part of this initiative.
