Gov. Aiyedatiwa Inaugurates Engr. Olawoye as Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has sworn in Engr. Abiola Olawoye as the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to rapid infrastructural development in Ondo State. The inauguration, which took place on Thursday alongside other key appointments, marked a significant step in the governor’s plan to deliver on his developmental agenda.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to act swiftly in fulfilling its promises to the people. “I am in a hurry to deliver for the people of Ondo State,” he stated, urging the newly appointed officials to hit the ground running. He emphasized that his administration’s ‘OUR EASE’ agenda would guide governance, ensuring improvements in infrastructure, economic growth, and overall development.

Engr. Olawoye, a seasoned professional in the infrastructure sector, is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the state’s urban development, land reforms, and housing policies. The governor charged him, along with other cabinet members, to embrace teamwork and collaborate with career officers, Permanent Secretaries, and Accounting Officers in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure efficiency and accountability. He further warned that his government would maintain a zero-tolerance policy for corruption, indolence, and disloyalty.

In response, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG), spoke on behalf of the appointees, expressing gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in them. He assured that they would work diligently to support the administration’s vision and ensure the progress of Ondo State. The inauguration was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and religious leaders, all of whom lauded the governor’s leadership approach and commitment to the state’s development.
