Gov. Aiyedatiwa Moves to Fix Imo–Arigidi, Oba–Afo– Idoani Roads as Olawoye Leads Assessment Tour
In line with the directive of the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to identify and rehabilitate dilapidated roads across the state, the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE, FNIHTE, on Wednesday led a team of directors from the ministry on a preliminary assessment tour of selected roads in the Northern Senatorial District.
The assessment exercise took the commissioner and his team to the Imo–Arigidi Road and the Oba–Afo–Idoani axis, where detailed engineering evaluations were carried out to determine the extent of deterioration and the scope of rehabilitation required.
According to Engr. Olawoye, the exercise is a critical step towards ensuring that road interventions are properly planned and executed in line with best engineering standards.
Beyond these major routes, the team also inspected other strategic roads in communities including Ifira Akoko, Oke Agbe, Supare, Ikare, Idoani, and surrounding areas.
The visit further underscores the commitment of the Aiyedatiwa-led administration to addressing infrastructural deficits and improving road connectivity across Ondo State for enhanced socio-economic development.
