IWD 2025: We Can Improve Women’s Empowerment, Political Inclusivity – Adeola Fynch
As the world marks International Women’s Day, the Executive Secretary of Akure South Local Government, Mrs. Adeola Fynch, has emphasized the need for greater inclusivity of women in politics and leadership. Speaking in Akure, she highlighted the importance of creating an enabling environment where women can actively participate in decision-making processes at all levels of governance.
Mrs. Adeola acknowledged the significant contributions of women across various fields, including science, politics, business, arts, and sports. She stressed that empowering women through education, leadership opportunities, and access to resources would help build a future where they are independent, confident, and successful. “Investing in girls today means a stronger and more inclusive society tomorrow,” she stated, urging stakeholders to support policies and initiatives that promote gender equality.
She commended the Ondo State Government and Akure South Local Government for their commitment to women’s development through various initiatives aimed at enhancing their economic and political participation. She noted that these efforts have provided women with opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
Speaking on this year’s IWD theme, Accelerate Action, Mrs. Adeola pledged to use her office to align with the values of women’s empowerment and champion initiatives that uplift women. She reiterated her commitment to driving policies that foster inclusivity and create equal opportunities for women across all sectors.
