ONDO STATE GOVERNMENT ENSURES SMOOTH FLAG-OFF OF AKURE-IDANRE ROAD CONSTRUCTION AS GOV AIYEDATIWA’S AIDE, HON WELLINGTON ADEBAWO CLEARS ROAD OF BROKEN DOWN TRUCKS




In a proactive move to ensure a hitch-free flag-off ceremony of the Akure-Idanre Road construction, the Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo, embarked on an operation to clear the Akure-Idanre Road of broken down trucks. The exercise, which took place on Tuesday ahead of the scheduled flag-off ceremony slated for Wednesday, April 30, 2025, was aimed at guaranteeing a safe and accessible route for the Governor, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and other dignitaries.

The operation saw Hon. Adebawo and his team working tirelessly to identify and tow away broken down trucks that had been abandoned on the road. The team’s efforts paid off as the road was cleared of all obstacles, ensuring a smooth and safe passage for road users.

The Special Assistant was seen personally supervising the exercise, ensuring that every broken down truck was removed from the road, underscoring his dedication and commitment to ensuring the success of the flag-off ceremony.

While speaking with pressmen, Hon. Adebawo said the exercise will enable the Governor and other dignitaries to safely access the venue for the flag-off ceremony, adding that it is part of Ondo State Government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the people during the programme

The flag-off ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, will be performed by the Governor, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. The ceremony will mark the official commencement of the road construction project, which is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe.
