Irele–Sabomi to Igbo Otu Road to Receive Critical Intervention – Engr. Olawoye

In line with the commitment of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to improve road infrastructure across Ondo State, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Abiola Ayorinde Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE, has announced that the Irele–Sabomi to Igbo Otu Road will soon receive critical government intervention. He made this known during an inspection visit to assess the condition of the road.

Engr. Olawoye, who led the technical assessment team, was joined by Hon. Primate Allen Messiah Oluwatoyin, the member representing Ese-Odo Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly. During an interactive session with community leaders after the assessment, Engr. Olawoye assured them that the road would be redesigned to meet modern standards and that construction work would begin in earnest.

He emphasized that the intervention is in line with the directive of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who has mandated the identification and rehabilitation of critical roads across all parts of the state. Olawoye reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to addressing infrastructural challenges.

Highlighting the economic importance of the project, Engr. Olawoye stated that the Irele–Sabomi to Igbo Otu Road, a 8KM road, once reconstructed, would significantly boost connectivity and stimulate economic growth in the riverine areas. He described the initiative as part of the broader vision of Governor Aiyedatiwa to drive inclusive development through strategic infrastructure expansion.
