This initiative is part of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s broader commitment to sustainable infrastructure renewal aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery in critical public establishments across the state.
Leading a technical team on a facility inspection tour, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye FNSE, FNICE, described the proposed intervention as a key component of the Governor’s proactive agenda to revitalize aging public structures. “In adherence to the directive of His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, we are embarking on a comprehensive assessment and modernization of government buildings requiring structural upgrades. Our first phase targets include the office complexes of the Water Corporation and the Ministry of Women Affairs. We have completed preliminary inspections and will now proceed to detailed architectural and structural designs,” Engr. Olawoye noted.
Engr. Olawoye emphasized the government’s strict compliance with engineering best practices, including adherence to building codes, professional ethics, and technical due process. He assured that the renovation will commence immediately after all structural appraisals, bill of quantities, and procurement protocols are finalized. “This government is not only responsive but known for turning plans into visible action. Every stage of the renovation will be handled by certified professionals to ensure safety, sustainability, and optimal functionality,” he stated.
During the inspection, the Administrative Secretary of the Ondo State Water Corporation conducted the team around key sections of the complex requiring urgent attention, while the Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye, provided guidance at the Ministry of Women Affairs. The inspection exercise underscores the collaborative approach of the current administration in addressing public infrastructure challenges, reinforcing Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision for a more functional, inclusive, and development-driven governance in Ondo State.
