US, UK Lawmakers Studying Nigerian House of Reps — Agbese

Philip Agbese, Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, says parliaments in the United States and United Kingdom are studying Nigeria’s legislative model.

Speaking at the close of the House of Representatives Open Week in Abuja, Agbese said delegations from both countries were sent to understudy Nigeria’s legislative practices.

He described the initiative as a major step in enhancing global legislative engagement, praising Speaker Abbas Tajudeen for promoting transparency and citizen participation.

Agbese said the 10th Assembly has set a new benchmark for legislative openness, describing Abbas as “a visionary leader” who has inspired renewed public trust in the National Assembly.
