Why Ogogo can’t be moved from hospital for spiritual treatment – Jide kosoko
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has appealed to fans and colleagues to continue praying for ailing actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, saying his condition makes it difficult to move him from the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Kosoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday on behalf of Hassan’s family and colleagues.
He thanked Nigerians and others for the overwhelming support and offers of assistance since news of Hassan’s illness emerged.
According to him, more than 300 people, possibly over 500, have offered various treatments and interventions they believe could help the actor.
He, however, said the major challenge was moving Hassan from the hospital while he is still undergoing treatment.
Kosoko also appealed to those offering traditional, spiritual or specialised treatments not to feel offended by the family’s decision to keep Hassan in the hospital.
He urged supporters to continue praying for the actor and supporting his family.
“Please understand that our inability to bring him to anyone does not mean that we do not appreciate you, nor does it mean that we doubt your intentions or your desire to help,” Kosoko said.
The appeal followed growing concern over Ogogo’s health after his daughters, Shakira and Haleemah Hassan, disclosed that their father is battling stage-four cancer.
The family’s call for help in securing specialised medical care has attracted widespread support from members of the Nigerian entertainment industry and the public.
Kosoko said the family remains grateful for the support and encouraged people to continue praying for Hassan.
