International Youth Day: PRP Governorship Candidate Celebrates Ondo Youths, Promises Focus on Youth Development

Comrade Babatunde Francis Alli, the governorship candidate for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the upcoming November 16 election, has marked International Youth Day with a pledge to prioritize youth development and inclusion.

In a statement released to honor the 2024 International Youth Day, Alli highlighted the crucial role that young people play in shaping both the state and the nation’s future. He urged Ondo youths to reject social vices and resist being exploited by politically motivated individuals.

“I call on our youth to avoid actions that hinder their personal growth and the broader development of our nation. It is vital that Ondo state’s youth do not become pawns in the schemes of desperate politicians as we approach the gubernatorial election,” Alli said.

Aligning with this year’s theme, “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,” Alli stressed the significance of integrating digital innovation into youth engagement. He outlined that his campaign’s manifesto, “Pact with Sunshiners,” is closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to foster development through digital and innovative means. Notably, Alli’s deputy governorship candidate is a 37-year-old business tycoon from Akure, emphasizing the PRP’s commitment to youthful leadership.

Alli concluded his statement by encouraging young voters to remain law-abiding and direct their discontent towards the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) by voting the PRP, with people-oriented governance culture and actionable plans for development.
