Ex President Bidens Health: Aggresive Prostrate Cancer Diagnosis Revealed
Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer that has already spread to his bones.According to a statement released by his office on Sunday, the 82-year-old received the diagnosis on Friday after seeking medical advice for ongoing urinary issues.“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the statement read.“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”Biden and his family are currently discussing treatment options with his doctors.Health and age concerns had earlier prompted Biden to step out of the 2024 presidential race. His then-vice president, Kamala Harris, took his place as the Democratic candidate.Biden remains the oldest person ever to have held the US presidency.In the past, he has faced other health issues. In February 2023, he had a basal cell carcinoma— a common type of skin cancer — removed from his chest. And in November 2021, doctors took out a polyp from his colon that, while benign, was potentially pre-cancerous.
