“The Will of the People Will Stand Forever” – SA Infrastructure, Olawoye, Hails Gov. Aiyedatiwa, Deputy on Tribunal Victory
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE has extended hearty congratulations to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, MNI, on their well-deserved victory at the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. In a statement released on Thursday, Engr. Olawoye described the judgment as “a sound, unassailable affirmation of the will of the people and a triumph of democracy over desperation.”
The Tribunal, in its ruling, dismissed all petitions challenging the legitimacy of the November 2024 governorship election, reaffirming that the process complied substantially with the provisions of the Electoral Act and reflected the genuine wishes of the people of Ondo State. Engr. Olawoye praised the judiciary for its impartiality, legal precision, and commitment to protecting electoral justice, stating, “This verdict is not just a legal victory; it is a revalidation of the democratic choice made by thousands of Ondo people.”
Reflecting on the administration’s progress, Olawoye noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership in just 100 days has begun reversing the infrastructure deficit across the state, citing the dualization of the Igbokoda–Okitipupa road, the rehabilitation of major roads in Akure metropolis, and the commissioning of people-centered projects. “Our Governor has not only protected the people’s mandate at the polls and in court, but he is also defending it every day through visible, measurable achievements in infrastructure development,” he said.
Engr. Olawoye called on all residents of Ondo State, regardless of political affiliation, to rally behind the Aiyedatiwa-led administration in the spirit of unity and progress. “With this legal distraction behind us, it is time to focus solely on the work of governance; building roads, creating jobs, strengthening housing and land reforms, and ensuring our communities are equipped for growth. The will of the people has prevailed, and under this visionary leadership, Ondo State will continue to rise.”
