Victor Ade Adelosoye Quits PDP, Cites Lack of Internal Democracy

Ondo State politician, Hon. Victor Ade Adelosoye, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing what he described as the “current trajectory of the party” and the lack of internal democracy.

In a resignation letter dated September 17, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward 4 Chairman in Ondo West Local Government Area, Adelosoye said his decision was taken after “much reflection” and consideration of personal reasons.

“I am writing to formally tender my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), effective immediately,” the letter read.

The former Leader of the House in Ondo West Local Government Legislative Council expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunities it offered him, recalling his service as Council Leader, Chairman of all Leaders of Legislative Councils in Ondo State, and his election as a National Delegate in 2011.

“These experiences have been invaluable, and I remain grateful for the trust and support extended to me over the years,” Adelosoye noted.

However, he lamented that the situation within the PDP had become untenable for him to continue.
“After much reflection, I have decided to part ways with the PDP due to the current trajectory of the party, the lack of internal democracy, and other cogent personal reasons,” he said.

Adelosoye emphasized that the decision was not an easy one, given his long political journey with the party.
“Nevertheless, I believe it is in the best interest of my principles to step away at this time,” he added.

He concluded by thanking party members for the opportunity to serve and for the camaraderie they shared over the years.
